Dried Morel Mushrooms for sale
Finding morels can be challenging for some, but they are frequently characterized as having an earthy flavor that mushroom hunters all around the world appreciate. The morel season is brief, and it might be difficult to find real morels of great quality when they are not in season. We are here to assist you in using morels in your cooking throughout the year.
Every year, Omega goes mushroom hunting and gathers fresh morel mushrooms for in-season orders, drying, and powdering. In the season for fresh wild morel mushrooms normally lasts from March through July. Our dried morel mushrooms are the best option for a morel fix any time of year. Our inventory of dried gourmet mushrooms is of the highest caliber and is collected and dried the same day. All of our dried mushrooms reconstitute easily and can be used as a sauce, soup, or ingredient in a stew. They are excellent as toppings for pizza. For the best dried mushrooms that Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Montana have to offer, you’ve come to the perfect place.
No matter what name they go by—the extremely elusive pinecone mushroom, sponge mushroom, or morchella—these highly valued mushrooms are still morels. These are from the past season and are from the USA. Fresh morels can be found from late March or early April through August (on the later side), though they occasionally don’t last past July. This explains why the pine cone mushroom has been around for so long. Grey morels, natural morels, green morels, black morels, conica morels (also known as burn morels), and blonde morels (morchella esculenta) are among the edible varieties of morels that grow throughout the season. However, we are unable to dry the blondes because they have such a short season and a very long waiting list for these.
When reconstituted to a height of 1/2 inch to 3 inches, the sizes differ. Please indicate the sizes you like in the shopping cart if you don’t want a mix of sizes. If you desire larger morels, we have Jumbo morels.
To Construct: For 30 minutes or overnight, soak dried morels in 4 cups of cold water or other liquid. Once they have been completely reconstituted, strain them through a coffee filter or paper towel and save the liquid for your recipe or another time. Rinse thoroughly to get rid of any debris, then pat dry and use.
